Advisor Tool: Digital Advise Widget

Simplifying retirement planning: A digital simulator to optimize retirement and asset management for your unique needs.

Navigating retirement complexity: A digital tool designed to simplify decision-making by guiding users through a four-step process: customer understanding, diagnosis, financial plan recommendation, and customization, finishing in a downloadable PDF summary to align resources with goals and mitigate risks. Retirement planning is inherently complex, with competing goals and numerous risks often leaving retirees overwhelmed and unsure where to start. To address this, we developed a structured framework that helps users prioritize their unique needs and allocate financial resources effectively to achieve their goals while managing risks. In this project, I led a multidisciplinary team, conducting user research through interviews, benchmarking, and data analysis. I facilitated usability tests, iterated designs based on user feedback, and organized activities to align user and business needs. This ensured the tool addressed key pain points, enhanced the advisory process, and delivered a seamless, user-centered experience.

The project was successfully onboarded by 1,000 advisors, achieving an 18.99% conversion rate and increasing voluntary sales by 2% within the first month of production.

One key takeaway from this experience was the need for better alignment between business goals and user needs. While the business team prioritized speed, users needed a well-thought-out experience. This project reinforced the importance of balancing both perspectives to create meaningful, effective solutions.
